    1. I read this series CHEERLEADERS as a teenager and I remember loving the characters and their story lines. All different authors. I have books 1-3, 5-8, 25 & 29. No idea what happened to the others but I know I had more than these. Blurb from back of book 1: To all of them, being a cheerleader means being the most popular, the most desirable, the most enviedd even the most hated. They will be stars, dazzling and exciting. 2. We are introduced to what will be our main characters in at least the first half of the series during the Tarenton High cheerleader tryouts, where they agonize internally about their life decisions and what has brought them here. Full recap here at my blog dedicated to a light-hearted look back at one of my favorite childhood series: cheerleadersrecaps.wordpress.

    3. I remember really enjoying these Cheeleaders books as a young girl, but I read this one again recently and couldn't stand it, very superficial characters, their only concern being their looks and making the Varsity Cheerleading squad, seemed a bit dated.

    4. 2.5 starsFavorite quote: "e mouth that was half sex god, half Kermit the Frog" Wait, what? Those two things *do not* go together.

    5. I also read this series in high school and enjoyed them very much (even though I was not a cheerleader!). The characters still stand out in my mind--especially Mary Ellen the poor beauty and Preston the super spoiled rich guy. I would like to revisit these if I could find them!

    6. so long ago! I remember loving this series and Preston was my favourite. Never got on with Mary Ellen, cause all she did was complain. aah good times.

    7. Yes, I must admit I read these in the 8th grade. They were such easy reading, I read them on the bus. I don't want to hear it I was in the 8th grade!
