    1. Not the usual book for rating on but since I spent so much time on it and want to track all my books here goes This is an excellent book and primer for Microsoft Windows 8. It covers all the basic features like which version to buy, how to upgrade and install. It also does a good job of explaining new app features, customization and performance enhancement. These books are not for everyone but if you want a beginner to intermediate book for Windows 8, this is a good place to start.

    2. Don't let the 700 pages intimidate you. I am ready to install Windows 8 and I wanted to get a head start. I am not sure if the upgrade is really worth it and the book did not really convince me. However, I'll make the jump and go with the times. A good introduction to not only the tile based Windows, but also overall functionality of the Windows OS. Easy read and follow, however I had to skip a few chapters.
